Dach could become a decent winger. he’ll always be a mediocre center. at best mediocre.
the sooner they realize that the sooner the team will move forward.

I think they know he can be a middle 6 winger.

They still want to see if he can be a #2 center first.

I get that… they are not in a win-now-at-any-cost mode, so they have time to try and decide.

No other real alternatives out there that are significantly better (internal or via trade that does not cost a lot).

So theres a clear hope that Demidov feeds Laine

From the little I saw in pre-season, looked like Demidov – Laine was working well together on the PP

The big question will be Dach.

We know Gallagher will be his usual pain in the ass in front of the net / down low.

Dobson is solid as the PP QB for the second unit.

it’s just that i have a grant fuhr leafs jersey.

I have a #26 Mats “Le Petit Viking” Naslund jersey in a box somewhere, that I got as a teen for my birthday one year and then use to wear at quite a bit at university, surrounded by Leaf and Red Wings fans.

    Only jersey I have.

To further kill the thread, Sammy Blais will wear #79 with Toronto.

Run out and get your jerseys.

why are they starting with such a light schedule? do they always do that?

    Yeah, I 100% completely agree.

I would do day 1 – every team plays blow out, stagger the start times, make it a giant party!

I get arena availability, network restrictions/availability, and travel, etc… but still, go nuts!

Yeah, I think the Habs will be fun to watch. As the eternal optimist that I am, I think they’ll challenge teams in the top 3 in the Atlantic.

As for the Flyers, I’m really curious what Trevor Zegras will look like away from Cronin’s allergic to offense system. If he and Michkov work well together, it could be fun to watch.

The team will most likely still suck as much as their GM though.

I still think they are a bubble team – Rangers will push hard this year, Sens are still there and who knows what the Red Wings and Sabers are really about anymore. Will the Jackets continue to surprise?

Overall, I just think this will be a more exciting team to watch this year, and my hope is, that we are not just waiting for the 1st line to be on the ice for excitement/scoring.

If some are wondering, I’m not dead.

Just swamped with work and family stuff. Hopefully I’ll find the time to write a blog soon and spend more time hanging out with you guys.

    DROP THE PUCK!

Good to hear from you and glad things are well (or, you are not dead, at least!)

Looking forward to this season, have not been this excited about a habs team in a long while.

the flyers get to play the panthers 2 out of their first 3 games.

Better now, while they are injured and disorganized.

    Free points.
