I went to sleep at 3 AM because I wanted to finish the first season of Daredevil.

    I won’t lie, I’ve made better choices.

Season 1 of the first series, not the newest ones?

I thought it was pretty good. Vincent D’Onofrio as Fisk was amazeballs.

Have not watched the latest season / reboot.

I feel like Joshua Roy may not make this team, unless injuries a lot in our faces

he absolutely not making that team, unless he get extremely lucky. there no space, who do you remove for him to play ?

If he is extremely lucky to make the team, the Habs have a lot of injuries… or they traded some players out.

A year ago, everyone saw Roy as a sure thing to make the lineup, either on a third line role and perhaps could slot into the top 6.

It’s fair to say his preparation, training camp and overall results in the AHL last year were simply not good enough to justify him being in the NHL, even when injuries occured.

It’s a very important year for Roy. He has more competition for the few spots available with the Habs with guys like Kapanen, Beck, Xhekaj and Blais all hoping to make the team.

I always liked Roy, I think he has enough talent to be a NHL player but he has alot of work ahead of him to make management forget about last year.

Sometimes I get a feeling certain players have a window to make it.

Seems to me perhaps Roy missed his window, lots of players coming up / in that fit better in specific roles (ie: Mini WiFi, Beck, etc), add Bulduc, and he is not in a good spot right now.

Not giving up on him, but the only path I see for him in 25/26 is if the Habs somehow get rid of Laine, he might have a spot in the top 9.

    Great blog as usual

I agree with what Mash said on the blogs comment section (kinda weird to have 2 comments sections IMO).

Dach will have all the time in the world to prove that he belongs. He’ll also be in better shape…that should help

Considering the comments on the actual blogs need to be approved by a moderator, it’s easier to interact on the forums.

But yeah, Mash made a great comment. He’s bang on.

Happens 1 out of every 100 of so comments.

    LOL.

Great blog Hugo! Thank you for taking the time to write these.
I am wondering if HuGo would eventually consider offer sheets, could be some good C to be had.
Id love Mactavish, but Vilardi is nice too lol. BUT we will have to move salary soon *Price*

Once his bonus is paid in September, he will be gone.

Just have to wait ’til then.

I would also agree, better try Dach one last time than sign the russian

having both options might not be such a turrible thing either.

Cheap 1 year w/ performance / games played bonus to make up for the low salary.

More than that, not worth the risk.

My comment is still awaiting moderation.

I’d accept it if I could. Even if it was to say how bad it is!

I get he played with Demidov and he used to be a good NHL player.

    He’s a gamble at best.

Sign to a low value contract with bonuses, if he sucks, dump him. Not much of a risk if there is not a big cap hit, and if he is gone, no bonus overage for the following year.

I think he can still play, but he is not the player he was obviously…. could be a 40-50 point guy, but I am not sure that is good enough to be our #2 center. I’d likely stick with Dach over him.

The only reason they would consider it is because he was a mentor to Demidov last year.

Le Canadien est dans la course pour Evgeny Kuznetsov

    There’s a race for Kuznetsov?

He was Demidov’s center for parts of last year….

Hot take: after reflection, I think the Habs will miss Dvorak in the lineup, especially if the roster stays remains as is.

Because he chokes in the playoffs?

five goals and seven points in eight playoff games this year, seems pretty decent.
