Next Habs picks are int he 3rd round: 79, 81 and 82,
I expect some movement on these, maybe pick up a late 2nd or 2026 draft capital.

– Habs move up to get Malcom Spence (but keep their other second round pick)
– Habs draft Alexander Zharovsky with thier other second (49th)I expect a bit of shuffling of picks, but no major trades today.
Sorta right… they traded both their picks, but did draft Zharovsky.
There is also Fiddler, but not sure they go for a defenseman in the 2nd, but we will see, he is a big boy at 6’4″ (or what we call, 3 full Pats).

Interesting tweak in new CBA: on salary retention in trades, a second retention on the same contract can only happen 75 regular season days later. So it essentially nixes double retention with a third team involved as part of same overall deal.
