Real lack of hockey news at this point of the summer… still like 6-7+ week ’til training camps.

Maybe it is like hoping you win the lottery by buying a bunch of tickets at once, thinking they have a better chance of making it rich hoping their kid becomes a mediocre back-up in the NHL and makes $3M per season….

Not only that but sending him to a camp for perfecting the position when you never played? You could tell the coaches didn’t even know where to start with him, he could barely execute the drills.
And that shit was almost 700$ for two days!
How dare you criticize parents for loving their kid too much!

Didn’t want you to think he was a goaltender for ants.
He is already giant size in Pat’s eyes.
He’s slowly growing out of them though so he’ll switch to white/red pads during the season. Just didn’t want to switch during tryouts.

My son spent his weekend with both Waite brothers (one former and the other still goaltender coach in the NHL).
Stéphane Waite might be a terrible informer, but my god these guys know what to do with goaltenders. The work they put in for two days was something else. My boy is absolutely fired up for his upcoming season.
That is pretty cool.
I remember when I went to hockey camp, we had Scotty Bowman come one day to talk about whatever (cannot recall, probably went over my head), and then Bob Gainey came and worked with the forwards and Larry Robinson with the defensemen.
I was never that great a player, but it was one of the best times of my early years.
