ParticipantThanks for the read Trevor!
I have not watched any of the pre season games so I appreciate the updates. Guess the game against Van was a stinker.

Re-upping backs makes sense. He has done everything the team asked and more.
Also makes sense if hey are thinking of moving Kadri.
What would it take to get Mason McTavish?
Do the Flames have the worst C core in the league?
It was a loooooooooooooooooooooong offseason. Glad hockey is back!

ParticipantMy thinking is that his development has been stunted due to the injuries. I just want to see him thrive, and I am not sure if putting him head-to-head against the McDavids and McKinnons of the West is the best way to make that happen. Also, as Trevor mentioned, there is not much of an opening for him. It seems more important to management to keep aging players like Backlund and Kadri around.
I just don’t want another Sam Bennett situation where the development is stifled because they did not make room for him in the top 6.

It’s a good deal for both sides. Really hoping Zary gets a big pay raise on his next contract.
I am guessing we all can agree he is a winger and not a C?

Lots to think about this year. It’s looking more and more that Ras will be in the opening line up. Not ideal.
I am really suprised they did not go after a vet goaltender to mentor Wolf. I guess he does not need it.
Anyways, Packers Detroit coming up this weekend. As a Packers fan I am giddy!
