Metalhead
ParticipantYeah, he’s from a Detroit suburb.
I cannot find any update on his status either.
Might be a true game time decision?Saw a nice stat:
Blackhawks have trailed for only 165 minutes this season, 2nd lowest in the NHL.
That is important. It means Bedard, Nazar, etc. are spending more game time that matters.
I’d like a stat for how much time the BHs have spent: up 1, tied, or down 1 goal.
Then compare it to the last 2 years.
I think it would highlight how much better experience they are all getting this season.Metalhead
ParticipantAt 1st i thought Arty should be in Rockford. What do i know? He’s looking better and better every game now
I still think a few games in RFD would help him, though it is extremely unlikely to happen.
3rd period, he made a great poke check on defense to steal the puck along the boards.
He immediately spazzed out and shoved the puck to try and clear it but there was a D-man near the blue line to keep it in.
His steal became a turnover.
He needs to stay calm after a good play like that and take stock of the situation.I have not seen an update on how KK, EDM and Allan are doing in RFD.
Have any of them played their way into a callup?Metalhead
ParticipantNazar day to day, not fully ruled out for Sunday.
Good news.

ParticipantFirst BH shutout in 23 months.
The most important tidbit will be injury status of Frank Nazar.

ParticipantDang Calgary is what the Hawks were the last 2 years, just awful.
Twice now, they had lazy offsides on decent rushes.Metalhead
ParticipantLate 2nd, juicy rebound from a Bedard shot but Burko couldn’t quite elevate it enough
to get above the pad.
Good to see him lurking weak side like that though.Metalhead
ParticipantHopefully an exciting game w/ 2 points for the visitors tonight.
I’m out, puck drop is after 10pm here and Wednesday is my long run day.
Will be sawing logs 10 minutes into the first period. Enjoy!🤘

ParticipantYou can’t rely on free agency anymore.
That was the point of this thread, Frenchy.
It does not really apply to the Hawks, it was more of a response to some
other fan bases over the summer (when I was here talking to myself lol)
who were gushing over the “amazing 2026 UFA class”.I maintain that the most likely path to acquiring a very good player
from another team will be when a few teams go to a reset / youth movement like the Habs recently have successfully done.
Not likely anyone needs to do a full tear-down, but there could be some late 20s / early 30s guys out there who
no longer fit the timeline for a team that is struggling.Metalhead
Participant11/04/25 update for Necas and Markstrom
Also: this is not to suggest these are guys the Hawks missed out on.
It’s more of a general thread to show how a UFA class looks so great until the extensions start showing up.Yes, there are some “non-legendary” 2026 UFAs on this list.
They are there to help show how the list diminishes before 07/01/2026.“2026 Pending UFAs” list:

ParticipantYou just do not want Meathead moving in
Heaven forbid.
We would be subject to weeks of complaining from Kick
about how Meathead hogs the sheets and has cold feet.November 4, 2025 at 3:03 pm in reply to: Brossoit: Canadiens Have the Talent Edge on Most Nights #47023Metalhead
Participantno no, fanduel has like $30 in it and draft kings has like $15
Doesn’t it cost more than that to withdraw your money?

ParticipantPens just had the kind of game that might make Sid wish he was somewhere else.

ParticipantWhile i agree with most of your posts MH,I currently have a different opinion on Arty than yours.
No worries sir.
I don’t *hate* Arty, I just think he could use some top minutes in the AHL. He’s been sheltered in the NHL, and playing under 15 min/game.
Help him mellow out in his own end, he’s too spastic and indecisive.
You can always bring him back up again.Meanwhile, you could reward and test other young D-men to see how their game is progressing (or not).
Who else would you send down to give KK, EDM and Allan some NHL work?November 3, 2025 at 8:47 pm in reply to: Brossoit: Canadiens Have the Talent Edge on Most Nights #46868Metalhead
ParticipantWas hoping for a hint on whether you are AC and/or DC.
