ParticipantThanks.
Nice PP goal.
At this point Blashill should tell them
1) GET THE F#$%ING PUCK OUT
2) Only 1 defenseman is allowed past the blue line on offense.Metalhead
ParticipantI’m interested to see replays for how the Hawks got so loose for that goal.
Someone on Seattle pinched? Both D ?Metalhead
ParticipantTic, tac and toe.
Very pretty.Metalhead
ParticipantThat Hawks power play looked like ass.
Wrinkled, hairy old ass.Burko went to the room for concussion check.
Overall, not a bad period.
They are ahead in high danger and expected goals.
Keep plugging away, don’t get cute.Metalhead
ParticipantBertuzzi runs hot and cold it’s who he is.
His start to the year has been one of many pleasant surprises this season.
Is he due to turn into a pumpkin? He had a run of 9 goals in 14 games last year, then went 19 games without a goal.
Even if he cannot keep up at the pace he started, just avoiding the big droughts would be huge for the team.Metalhead
Participantthatβs not me! i got 856-sevened!

Participantbecause the puck was always at the other end
They have to get better, for sure.
Crawford faced just over 27 shots/game average during the ’13, ’13/14 and ’14/15 seasons.
Knight has seen 32.5/game so far this year.
note: Some of those SOG from the Cup era were probably score affected.High Danger Save %
Knight is at 88.9% so far this season. Best among goalies w/ 6 or more games played this season.
Across the ’13, ’13/14 and ’14/15 seasons Crawford had a 83.6 save % on High Danger.BUT
Crawford only faced 7.3 high danger shots per game over those seasons.
Knight is facing 9.7/game. They need to cut down on the time and space opponents are getting against them. That’s it for now, my head hurts from all the maths.

ParticipantI donβt think youβll find this anywhere online, but I broke it down for you:
Thanks for this info Frenchy.
The stat I’m looking for is probably not available at all. (I’m probably the only person who even cares lol)
For example, last night the Hawks played 48:44 of the game with a 1 or 0 goal differential.
My point is, I think there were dozens of hours of game time in the past 2 seasons where the Hawks were down 2 goals or more.
No matter what you might say about how “it toughens you up” it’s better imo if they spend more minutes in each game with the game in doubt.Metalhead
Participantthe important thing is they play games that matter very late into the season
This.
I wish I could find a stat that shows how many total minutes during the last 2 seasons the Hawks were:
tied
down 1 goal
up 1 goalThen compare it to this season.
The wins and potential playoff positioning is very, very important.
But so is the simple experience of spending more minutes in each game that matter.Metalhead
Participantguys who might get moved due to the sheer number of bodies who will be βNHL readyβ and not enough NHL spots.
Agree, there will be successful prospects who get moved.
Something also to keep in mind, Lucas Reichel was not the last “Lucas Reichel”.
There *WILL* be more highly touted prospects who cannot make the jump to the NHL.
Nobody hits anywhere near 100%.
You could argue that Korchinski is in danger of becoming the next Reichel (I’m not there yet)Metalhead
Participantwouldnβt want anything over a 10 min. OT.
Longer in-season OT has been suggested buy callers/emails in Friedman’s podcast a few times.
He always mentions that it’s a non-starter with the league.Metalhead
ParticipantHawks on pace for 103 1/2 points, currently in the first wild card position.
Sniffing right behind WPG at this point for 3rd in the division.
The longer this lasts, the better it is. (even if they fall off down the road)π€
