Overtime was inevitable….before the game even started. All of these games have been one goal games. It seems to be the script that the Leafs have been following the whole playoffs.
This game is winnable. We knew the defending champs wouldn’t go out without a fight.
Get the equalizer. Put a ton of traffic in front of Bob and get rebounds. Stop being cute.
I agree. Just get the next goal and get it to overtime.
We’re still in this. Get refocused and get the next goal. Face overtime and hope for the best. Florida is now turning into the goon squad.
Leafs need the next one. I’d prefer that there was no next one so we can win this important game. So far, this isn’t your father’s Leafs team.
If this is what’s being offered from the Metro Division, it sure isn’t much. After 1 game and 2 periods, this is putrid and hard to watch. They should just play between the Blue Lines and then go to 3 0n 3 for the overtime. It’s unwatchable!
Neither one of these teams are at par with the Atlantic Division. There’s no passion or intensity to speak of. The Metro was really a 2 team race all year. Ottawa had a better record than 3rd place New Jersey. I found game 1 to be almost unwatchable.
Dubas also drafted more midgets than Snow White in her prime. Especially defensemen. He also let Zack Hyman leave and signed some very suspect goaltenders. He was also gifted Nylander, Matthews and Marner in the draft, while being an apprentice to Lou Lamorello.
