A 38 year old leading the league in goals and a 39 year old leading the league in assists is pretty insane. It wont be this way when all 82 games conclude but its very impressive nonetheless.

I’m here Pags66. Way to F us like that hahaha

Pens played a perfect f’n game of hockey for 40 mins. Sucks to lose that one but I do think this team has a different feel to it, for sure, and they will learn from this. Jarry had to save a few of those. If he does, Pens win.

Not my fault tonight, I refrained from posting a damn thing after last game haha.

hahaha seems they may have learned from that Leafs game. Whereas the past handful of seasons you would get this feeling they were going to blow a lead and loss every game haha. They would have so much trouble closing out games.

We’re getting some good entertainment early on in this season, that cant be debated, and as fan that’s what we ask for.

I’m the furthest east in North America, gents. I went to bed close to 3:00am after those weekend games.

That’s a bold prediction but I like it and agree if he can stick top 9 duties then its the place for his development.

Only one game, of course, but that was one of the most complete games I’ve seen them play in the last handful of years hahaha, I mean like full 60 mins of effort. Nice youthful energy to it all. Good tempo. Great puck support in their own zone a lot of the game. Most of the younger guys look like they will get man handled a lot of nights, though. Need to beef up a bit.

    If he were to go to another team I would support him to the fullest. He’s paid his dues, and then some, to my beloved Penguins. I was a Mario/Jagr guy before Sid/Geno and I will be a McKenna/? guy after they’re gone (;

Yeah, August is historically the slowest and deadest month for NHL news and what not. Having said that, the EK trade was in August a few years back, that was a blockbuster. Wouldn’t be surprised if Dubas makes a move, or two, this month.

    So… what’s everyone grilling?

I did some tuna steaks yesterday. Coated them in sesame oil then sprinkled sesame seeds over them before putting on grill on highest heat for just 2 mins a side. F’n delicious.

So, I hadnt been over to HB in a few weeks. Thought to have a look this morning and Ek’s main story caught my attention, so I opened it up for a read. He’s saying that the bans were random because of site glitches. I can post there again. There is now only like 6 or 7 team blogs in total.

    “Hey gang.

This website is 15 years old.

Hockeybuzz itself has been around for 20 years, but this version of the website is 15 years old. As an in dependent website, paying our own boills and trying to create a place for you guys to come and be able to talk and discuss all sorts of hickey topics there never seems to be a right time to re-launch a new version…. I definitely wasn’t going to do it with the draft and free agency, because that is one of our busiest times of the year….

But the website is a mess and I have a whole bunch of new writers, many of whom have not even been posted yet on here because of how messed up the website is. Also, there have been blogs and comments disappearing, and people being banned for no reason at all. Along with other data issues, which affected many of you being able to login…..

The new website is really awesome, and I hope that 15-year-old hockeybuzz.com would survive until the site was ready and everything was hopping…. I fear that I asked too much of it.

We have three different teams working on this right now. One is trying to just fix all the database problems on the current site. Another is putting the finishing touches on the future site. And another that is developing a short-term solution that will be a temporary site without the bells and whistles, but will function properly and will enable everybody to post and us to launch new writers, etc.

The temporary site is coming in a few days here…. The full site will be here not that long after…

But at our core, we need to be a site that enables writers to write and readers to comment…

Again, I really appreciate the patience and I’m trying to answer all the emails I’ve gotten. If your season ticket got messed up, you’ll be automatically upped for an extra year.

I am not a coder nor am I a technical person, so it’s time for me to get back to rumors and why you come here, but I just wanted to make sure that you understood what is going on….

    Cheers”

If I was an NHL GM, I would wake up every morning thinking about how to fleece Ken Holland. EK to LAK!

Any of the California gms. Don’t know what they are smoking out there but it must be good. I’m sure Doobs can convince holland he is 1 EK away from defeating Edmonton in round 1. I honestly thought ek could be the difference maker for Dallas as a 2RD, plus their whole right side was pretty weak.

…then in a crazy twist of plot a California GM ends up smoking Doobs in a trade.

I had three thoughts when I saw the Dumba trade announced moments ago:

    1) It’s great to get a 2nd round pick for a guy they claimed off waivers last season and isnt that good. Chance he develops into a better player though, of course.

    2) This will help McKenna chances.

    3) I really wish Grinder was around at times like this. I bet he’s really happy we got Dumba and not for the reason(s) must of us are hahaha
