The Leafs Convo with myself and Norman James is back. Norm and I will be discussing and reviewing the Toronto Maple Leafs week this morning. After an impressive shutout victory over New Jersey, the Leafs won a chaotic 6-5 affair against the Winnipeg Jets, where the club fell behind 4-1 and made two comebacks to win. The week ended on a sour note, as Toronto could not hold on to a one-goal lead on Long Island and lost to Matthew Schaefer and the Islanders 4-3 in overtime.
The Leafs will need to keep winning to get back into the Eastern Conference playoff race, and there are questions about when William Nylander will return, and whether they can they continue to weather a growing list of injuries.
