The Leafs Convo with myself and Norman James is back. Norm and I will be discussing and reviewing the Toronto Maple Leafs week this morning. After a one-sided loss to Dallas last Sunday and rumors of head coach Craig Berube being fired, Toronto made assistant coach Marc Savard the sacrificial lamb and dismissed him. The club has responded with a pair of imperfect wins over Pittsburgh and Ottawa, but at this point, they will take all the imperfect wins they can get.
The Leafs will need to keep winning to get back into the Eastern Conference playoff race, and there are questions about William Nylander, who left Saturday’s game with a lower-body injury, but travelled with the club to Detroit.
