The Buffalo Sabres are fresh off a season that brought the franchise back to relevance. After 14 consecutive seasons without securing a ticket to the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Sabres are once again a team to watch.
The once proud franchise has remerged as a club to be reckoned with.
The 2025-26 campaign saw the Sabres come out of nowhere in the second half of the season to reach the top of the Atlantic Division standings and register a first round playoff series victory.
Fan engagement is rising, season ticket packages are sold out for the coming year and the Buffalo Sabres will be frequently featured on national television broadcasts in the United States.
The Western New York region has always been a top television market for the National Hockey League regardless of the Sabres position in the standings at any given time.
Even with consistently strong TV ratings being a constant in the Buffalo market, It’s clear that the NHL television rights holders are banking on the Sabres to deliver nationwide this season.
