The Buffalo Sabres have announced a multi-year partnership with Audacy for WGR to remain the radio home of the NHL club.
The previous agreement with WGR expired at the close of the 2025-26 season. Continuing the partnership with Audacy and WGR means that the Sabres will continue to have a strong radio presence in Western New York.
Dan Dunleavy and Rob Ray will return to the broadcast booth for the upcoming 2026-2027 Sabres season.
“WGR has long played a role in linking the people in our community to the Buffalo Sabres, and we are excited to extend a partnership that has continued to grow stronger over the years,” Buffalo Sabres president of business operations Pete Guelli said. “We are always exploring avenues for our fans to engage with us in meaningful ways, and this partnership has consistently provided a trusted platform for them to stay connected.”
Additional Avenues To Listen To Games
The broadcasts will also be available in the Sabres and Audacy Apps. As part of the new agreement, the Sabres and Audacy will also form the Sabres Radio Network to expand the reach of the radio broadcasts. While a list of affiliate stations will be announced at a later date, the club has had a group of cities carrying games in the past including outlets in Rochester, Olean, and Batavia. WGR is also available on Sirius XM satellite radio.
In addition to Sabres game broadcasts, WGR will continue to feature exclusive player and coach interviews. A rebroadcast of Sabres Live will air on non-Sabres game nights at 8 PM. The program will also be available live on MSG Network in the Buffalo market, as well as on the Sabres app and the Sabres YouTube channel. The weekday program features Sabres content as well as news and headlines from around the NHL.
