Game Four of the 2025 Stanley Cup Final is on Friday night in Sunrise, Florida. Game time is 8 p.m. EDT (TNT, TRUTV,MAX).
The Florida Panthers lead the Edmonton Oilers, two wins to one. With the scene shifting back to Edmonton come Game 5, Friday’s game is a vital swing match in the series. However, as the Oilers showed last year, no lead is truly “comfortable” between these two teams. Regardless of the blowout outcome in Game Three, this series could still go either way.
What happened last game
Game Two in Edmonton was an instant classic. Conversely, Game Three was a 6-1 blowout win for Florida. The Panthers jumped ahead in the game’s opening minute and never looked back. The third period turned into a penalty box parade as the Oilers gave in to frustration. Meanwhile, Kris Knoblauch pulled goalie Stuart Skinner in the third period.

Three keys to victory
- Shake off Game Three: The first two games of the series could have swung either way. Game Three was all Panthers. The Oilers, from the crease out, must produce a better performance. Meanwhile, the Panthers will try to replicate Game Three.
- Forechecking pressure: The Panthers created Edmonton turnovers in Game Three that proved crucial to the outcome. Additionally, they repeatedly scored short-side goals and got traffic to the net. It’s up to Edmonton to adjust.
- Discipline and special teams: This is going to a recurring theme throughout the entire series. The Oilers have scored a power play goal in each game. However, so have the Panthers. Florida also scored the all-important shorthanded goal by Marchand.
