HockeyHotStove.com is a new all-in-one hub for passionate NHL fans, created by a team of experienced hockey journalists and business professionals and led by former NHL defenseman and broadcaster Chris Therien. The site will feature team-specific blogs, top NHL podcast content, a vibrant fan forum, salary cap data, draft lottery tracking, game day betting lines, and much more. With a phased rollout plan, Hockey Hot Stove aims to provide full coverage of all 32 NHL teams through blogs and podcasts by the start of the 2025-26 season.

Veteran hockey writer Bill Meltzer, serving as Chief Operating Officer, brings over two decades of NHL media experience to the project. He is also an ongoing contributor to NHL.com/Flyers and the content manager for the Flyers Alumni Association. In the past, he worked for NHL.com (“Across the Pond” articles), IIHF.com, and other prominent outlets.

 Meltzer, along with a group of trusted contributors—including several PHWA members—will deliver deep, insightful coverage and fan-first content. Hockey Hot Stove is designed to be the go-to destination for comprehensive, engaging, and accessible hockey coverage all in one place.

Michael Augello is the Chief Commercial Officer of HockeyHotStove.com. He has been a professional hockey journalist for more than 15 years and has been the host or co-host of many hockey podcasts, including Off The Post Radio and The Leafs Convo.
