ParticipantLet’s talk about trades, free agency and the draft.
Devils traded Eric Haula to Nashville for Jeremy Hanzel & a 2025 4th round pick.

ParticipantNot sold on McMann. Should be traded for assets. The Marner money should get you two top 6 wingers. Boeser and Ehlers? Shoring up the 3rd pairing on RD is also important. Whatever they can get in exchange for Rielly, they should do so.

Nashville could be a landing spot for Rielly. With Josi medical issue, he could fit right in.
Lauzon and 3rd from Nashville if Rielly waive his NMCJune 19, 2025 at 8:11 am #10291senstrolltwo

I dont think Boeser and Ehlers solve the playoff problem. Ehlers is good, but more of another Nylander type.

ParticipantChicago re-ups Ryan Donato 4M x 4 years
Rangers re-up Matt Rempe 775K x 2 years
Sens re-sign Fabian Zetterlund 4.275M x 3 years
Dallas re-ups Duchene 4.75 x 4 yearsJune 19, 2025 at 12:39 pm #10367senstrolltwo

Dallas re-ups Duchene 4.75 x 4 yearsall fine, Donato had a big sh% jump this season, id expect that to return to normal and he lands somewhere in 20g 20a range.
Fabian Zetterlund was odd for the Sens, not much production, I guess they are banking on him scoring 20 againJune 19, 2025 at 12:46 pm #10371Cush29

I feel no guilt for hoping he scores 0 goals and that contract is a boat anchor. lol

As usual, the Leafs are late to the last supper. Instead of being proactive, they go to an early summer vacation. They better be trying to get something for Marner’s rights or they’re brain dead!

If they don’t trade Marner’s rights are you going to be mad when they say “they tried” as you requested here?
Also, for the record, Marchment has a 10 team no trade list. How do you know the leafs weren’t on it?
In addition, considering how many people talk about Marchment as the prototypical “power forward” the leafs need (which any team would need) he went for a paltry trade of mid picks. Let’s not overblow this guy’s abilities.I hope we hear of the Knies and JT signings soon though!

Man I’m not trying to dog on you dude because your McMann take is good but I’m just unsure with a cap going up, players in their prime and combined making 13ish million they are taking the same money OR a pay cut to come to Toronto?
