i had a couple from cape may brewing. Cape May Gold, which the can said was an american golden ale. even though it’s not my favorite kind of beer, it was pretty good. a lot of flavor and pretty refreshing. very good for a hot day. the other was an Always Ready which is a hazy ipa, a style more up my alley. a little citrusy and hoppy. obviously i liked this one better so kept going back for these.

tonewood fuego! it is pretty good. but it’s just a little bit funkier than freshies, which is more clean and crisp.

but still, it was definitely good.

also, i made one last attempt at trying a shandy. a cranberry one this time. cape may brewing company’s “the bog”. i couldn’t drink it. i just don’t think i understand shandys and i don’t think shandys understand me.

i’ve had a few more freshies and fuegos today but i also tried another nj beer.

the brewery is called tanner and the beer was called crisp.

it’s from haddon heights, nj and it looked good in the glass but it tasted kind of flat and there really wasn’t any punch to it so that was disappointing. i’m hoping it was just flat because i’d like to try some of their other beers. and that may be the case because the bar is kind of a dive (although the food is bangin. i had the shrimp scampi [with spinach and crab added for only 4 more dollars!]).

had a few today but the one i want to talk about is a milkshake ipa from a brewery in ardmore, pa where i just happened to be today.

i’ve had a few milkshake ipas since they became a thing but this one is really good. i mean like a 95 or higher rating kind of beer.

the brewery is called tired hands and i should have taken a picture because i don’t remember what they called the beer. but it was a milkshake ipa and it was incredible. so good.

i can’t even find the one i had on their website so i don’t know what the fuck’s going on. but it was real and it was spectacular.
