Participantirrespective of his poor season last year, If Mika were to play 3C- that would probably severely reduce his overall minutes. 3C generally play 13-14 mins and Zib has been a guy that plays 19-20 mins.

ParticipantDoes anyone have a prior example of a 3C of Zibs Caliber (1C,2C) being moved down to 3C permanently?

ParticipantHopefully starting on wing with Miller can help establish and jumpstart Mika’s offensive game, post Kreider. If his game is solid and he is moved to 3C I see that as a confidence move for him as a driver of play even if it is reduced ice time. It would probably mean the team is trending in a positive direction.

Or leave Mika on RW and trade for a 3C at the deadline if we’re in contention

Im trying to separate the name from the position/production. All Im thinking about is, if we have a RW who is producing at a PPG pace, making 8.5m per thats a good deal. Im trying not to think about who it is doing it.
What Zib offers is the ability to run a 3rd PK line. It also allows for rotation, where lets say you have a lead and need to hold you can move Zib to the 3rd line providing a C who can win faceoffs and play D.
