Canadiens Connection: Martin St. Louis Sets A Tone

The 2025 Montreal Canadiens training camp has opened this week. There has been a noticeable shift in tone coming from management, the coaching staff and the players.

While it’s clear that there is still significant work to be done to reach their goal of becoming a perennial Cup contender, tangible expectations are within reach. We’re not simply hearing a recitation of lofty hopes, dreams, and cliches.

With raised expectations comes increased responsibility to deliver. The Habs, especially the way they start the season, will receive additional scrutiny this year despite being one of the youngest teams in the league. The actions of the coaching staff and key players will be under the microscope even more than usual.
