yes its me 2050Participant– Washington misses the playoffs.
– Flyers trade for hughes then make him the highest paid defensemen when he is ext eligible.
– Seeler has a terrible year and looks horrible.
– Tippet doesn’t take any major step forward.
– Kolosov ends up playing a good number of games (based on his ahl play) the last third+ of the season. Gives the flyers something to think about.
– TK has an injury plagued year.
– To the shock of the coaching staff and management they are never rally in the playoff “hunt” the 2nd half of the year.
– Cates solidifies himself as the 3rd line center going forward.
– Coach moves zegras to the wing by end of December.
– Bump makes the team. Despite playing very well the production isn’t there and they send him down.September 24, 2025 at 1:00 pm #37475VonZipper

Could be onto something with Kolosov. Guessing Ersson will miss a month or so during the season, and they find out the hard way Dan Vladar is the second coming of Cal Petersen. Of course, the defense as it stands now won’t really help whoever is playing between the pipes.

no idea on Hughes just a hunch. guess it will depend on what Vancouver may want.
as for kolosov should have clarified not because of injury. because of his play and the play of the other 2.September 24, 2025 at 9:35 pm #37596Corduroy
ParticipantTK 25-25 misses at least 10 games
MM – 25-45 — dazzles but ends up in the dog house a few times
TZ – 11-27 – dog house starts by the end of Oct — third line winger with coots or another low-skilled linemate
JD – more games missed than points — both shoulders injured
BB – There will be more Bobby by Brinks than Brick by Brick this season
Power Play will break 13.75
TS ( the other Travii) 31 points — 1 goal
Zamula and Andrea will see more time in the press box than the iceSeptember 24, 2025 at 9:40 pm #37597FlyerFrank
ParticipantFlyers get to break even on goal differential. 24 more goals, 24 fewer goals allowed.

One could hold out hope for the goals scored, but I think there would need to be some sort of divine intervention for the team, as constructed right now, to give up 24 fewer goals.

Assuming 2400 shots against, which is actually about 200 more than they gave up last year, 1 percent improvement in save percentage gets you 24 fewer goals against. They can’t do any worse than they did last year on save percentage. Slightly better system and play in front of the goalies, slightly better goalies adds up over the course of a season. Same with the offense. Two more goals per Top 12 forward does it. Actually, I expect a 7-8 bounce back from Tippett and Zegras will score 7-8 more goals that who he is replacing, so that’s roughly 15 of the 24 more goals right there.
