Miller Leaves Practice With Injury

No injury is ever a good one. An injury that occurs in practice, and especially a non-contact one, is even worse. The New York Rangers now hold their breath on center JT Miller, who left practice early Monday, as he looked to have strained or pulled a muscle while reaching for the puck.

After seeing what happened to Aleksander Barkov last week, forgive every Rangers fan and fantasy player who has Miller on their roster for being in a little bit of a panic. Hopefully it’s just a cramp or mild strain. But as of press time, nothing beyond the video was known.

Mollie Walker of the NY Post noted that Miller was in with the trainers when the reporters were in the locker room, so they did not get to interview him. Coach Mike Sullivan said there was no update yet. Until one is provided, speculation will be all over the board. My suggestion is to remain calm until more is known.

If Miller is sidelined, even short-term, that would open up a roster spot. Mika Zibanejad could move from wing back to center, leaving a wing spot open. That could allow Brennan Othmann or Gabe Perreault to break camp with the team.

Stay tuned for updates

  1. Great blog Jan!

It’s surprisingly quiet in here being that we are less than a week away from the season starting.

I wonder if this site is giving people issues/turning people off from posting. It’s definitely not as smooth as old HB, but it can do the job for now.

I saw Vince post lines that looked like
    Perreault – Zibanejad – Laf
    Panarin – Trocheck – Cuylle
    Sheary – Pärssinen – Raddysh
    Edström – Laba – Rempe
    (Berard & Brodzinski rotating in)

I personally would scratch Parsnip, put Laba in his place, and put Berard in the 4C role.

    1. We had to “reset” the site to September 29, before the database crashed on Sept. 30. So that’s were blogs and other content disappeared. One the migration is done to the dedicated server, things should function fine (and smoother, hopefully).

  2. Laba makes the team. Berard sent down. Sheary signs a 1 year 2 way deal for league minimum

1 more cut has to happen. Think Brodzinski is going to get waived, but we shall see
