Interested to see if BUF is willing to move Byram now that Josh Norris is expected to be out “long-term”. They are one of a very few teams that has actually been worse then the Flyers over the last decade. I do believe the smoke Tippett is on the market. The regime even if they cannot believe Risto will be reliable enough to stay healthy when he returns to be a mainstay in the top 6 until his contract expires.

For a team that is in the playoff mix and adding players, adding to that defense is a must. Hard to believe that Ghost, who has averaged 29 PP/yr points over the last 2 seasons, plays 20 minutes a night, 70+ games every year and only makes a little over half of Risto wasn’t an option when he was available a year ago for just over 3 mill. It would be great if the Flyers had a player like that but were to busy focusing on blocking pucks to worry about inexpensive puck moving defensemen who excel on the PP. DB and Jones are just smarter than Carolina.

Through 2 complete games. Drysdale has 0 SOG, 0 points, -1. I can see the Makar comparison.

    nah more like quinn hughes

sanheim, drafted by ronald hextall, is the flyers best dman. in 10 years they have york and nothing else to show from their drafts on defense

Rick Tocchet thinks Jamie Drysdale can play like Quinn Hughes and Cale Makar

JFC flyers cant help themselves. just a silly as comment. if he is as good as karl dykhuis its a win.

With the Flyers playing against Ghost tonight, is there any question as to him having a better career since he left the Flyers than anyone who played for the Flyers except maybe Sanheim over the last 5 years?

He plays 20 minutes a night dman averaging 29 pts/yr on the PP the last 2 years while making 3.2 mill/yr and cost nothing to acquire. Thankfully the Flyers have no issues on the PP. That’s why Carolina is a well run team and the Flyers keep throwing darts and draft picks at the wrong players. He’s making only slightly more than Nick Seeler, the guy the Flyers can’t live without and who they gave a 4 year contract.

Unfortunately the Flyers have shown no signs of growth on defensive talent evaluation in the last 6 years.

their best bet is to somehow trade for someone who has term or control. who that is I dont know.

UFA pickings are slim after Andersson. RFAs who might be moved, also slim.

he wont like his $$$$ being taxed out the ass.

either way he isnt a flyers option. they will probably trade for dylan mcllarth…..

As a UFA, are the Flyers an option for Andersson? Vegas needs to do something about replacing Pietrangelo, who might be finished. Climate wise, Vegas would be a bid adjustment from Arctic Calgary. The Flyers do need one Top 4 guy. Byram is the other guy who might be available. That’s about it for now as far as I know.

    option yes. realistic option no.

byram has a 2-year contract then UFA. After being in buff does he want to re-sign with buff south? buff will move him if he wont re-sign long term. do you trade for him without an ext?
