By the fifth OT, all of the top players are absolutely gassed, so desperate for fresh legs, Berubae throws the little Piss Missile back on the ice. While the snakebitten Core 4 watch breathlessly from the bench, Domi drives the crease and causes a scramble in front of the Cat’s net. Bobbyson pounces on the rebound and finishes it. The building explodes with a mix of pent up frustration and exhausted jubilation. Leafs move on to game seven.

This is not a prediction, it is a fever dream of a dying man on distant world that time forgot.

Does Tavares have a GWG this series? Any points in the elimination games? You want to bitch about Marner in elimination games (1 GWG in the series and primary assist on GWG in an elimination game) while Tavares is doing less offensively and is a liability defensively (11 EVGA in 12GP, worst among all Leafs forwards)? Will the NHL award the Leafs the series victory vs. Florida because Tavares scored against Tampa Bay 2 years ago?

Leafs played well last night, Woll was great from what I saw.
But they need to do it again…..and probably again a few more times (other series obviously).

Between my raging at the Leafs after game 5, there is a comment I made about this comeback being all the sweeter. This COULD be a turning point in these guys careers. Finally slaying the dragon. Sure I wouldn’t be “upset” at the game specifically if it was a 1 goal loss in 2nd OT. But it wouldn’t stop me from moving Marner, Firing Shanny, etc. Whatever other major changes need to be done.
