The Edmonton Oilers can take a commanding three games to one lead over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday in the Western Conference Final series on Tuesday evening. The Carolina Hurricanes stayed alive in the Eastern Conference Final with a 3-0 shutout of the Florida Panthers in Game Four on Monday. Meanwhile, the London Knights will look to stay undefeated in their final round-robin game at the 2025 Memorial Cup in Rimouski, Quebec.

Laperriere staying on in a new role
Now-former Lehigh Valley Phantoms head coach Ian Laperriere has elected to stay with the Flyers’ organization in a different capacity. The Flyers announced on Tuesday that Laperriere has accepted an offer to become an advisor to Hockey Operations. Specifically, he will report directly to president of hockey operations Keith Jones and general manager Daniel Briere.
“I want to thank Ian for his tireless work in Lehigh Valley for the last four seasons,” Briere said in a statement.
“He not only led the Phantoms in a return to the playoffs, but provided crucial development to several of our prospects. I am excited to welcome him back to the Flyers so he can continue to provide his insight in helping our team as we enter the next phase of the rebuild.”
Memorial Cup: London takes on Medicine Hat
The Ontario Hockey League champion London Knights will take on the Western Hockey League champion Medicine Hat Tigers on Tuesday in Rimouski. With both teams holding 2-0-0 records to date during the Memorial Cup round robin, first place is at stake with an automatic spot in the championship game on Saturday up for grabs.
Featuring Flyers prospects Denver Barkey and Oliver Bonk, London earned a 4-3 overtime win on Saturday against the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League champion Moncton Wildcats. On Sunday, the Knights defeated the tournament host Rimouski Oceanic by a 3-1 score.
Barkey has posted two assists over London’s first two matches. Oliver Bonk assisted on London’s overtime winner in their opener against Moncton.
Draft: Flyers final 1st rounder hinges on WCF
The Dallas Stars helped out the Flyers earlier in the Stanley Cup playoffs when Pete DeBoer’s club eliminated the Colorado Avalanche in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. The Flyers gained the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 Draft. Currently trailing Edmonton in the Western Conference Final, two games to one, Dallas can help Philly out again if the the Stars find a way to prevail in the current series against the Oilers.

Flyers Alumni: Ireland Trip
From August 1 to 7, 2025, the Flyers Alumni and Flyers fans will take a week-long trip to Ireland. Participating Alumni include John LeClair, Mark Recchi, Ian Laperriere, Bernie Parent, Bill Clement, Joe Watson, Bobby Taylor, Gary Dornhoefer, Lindsay Carson, Orest Kindrachuk.
