ParticipantRumours out of Anaheim Cutter rejects contract offer, another reason why i say the way KD rebuilt this team, there is so much high end talent through out the farm system and still having 3 first round picks, more like 4 because we have the Canucks 2nd round pick and so on. Cutter is a really nice player, but what do you do when they want to get paid and instantly you are playing cap gymnastics. The Ducks are going to have no depth extremely quickly here.

ParticipantMy personal opinion, Arty was slashed and hacked a ton in his own end last season, you know the kids have to pay their dues bullshit

ParticipantYou know Bread the one common acknowledgment by everyone on the staff is these key statements, extremely mobile for his size and very strong on his skates.
The key statement about KK is he needs to get stronger. Hopefully he is and I’m not giving up on him yet.
I’m sure if the Blackhawks did they would of traded him already.
I believe by trading for Byram the team has created less pressure for Korchinski to develop.

ParticipantOne thing that I find interesting lately, is how much more rope Levshunov is being given with the fan base compared to Korchinski. Each one had a rough first full NHL season on a bad Blackhawks team, but the fan reaction in my opinion has been much more light/forgiving on Levshunov’s defensive mistakes. I put together a small comparison of their seasons.
Levshunov – 25/26 – age 20 – Just under 20 minutes TOI – Plux/Minus -41 Most common partner (Kaiser) – came to the NHL after 1 pro-season mostly in the AHL.
Korchinski – 23/24 – age 19 – Just under 20 minutes TOI – Plux/Minus -39 – Most common partner (Megna) – left junior to go pro and played in the NHL.5v5
Levshunov – 1G – 11P
Korchinski 4G – 6PRelative stats
Levshunov -1.01 CF% -3.19 FF% -11.85 GF% -2.81 xGF% 0.976 PDO 65.48% OZone starts
Korchinski 0.98 CF% 0.39 FF% -6.05 GF% -2.42 xGF% 0.966 PDO 57.2% OZone startsLevshunov had 11 Powerplay points to Korchinski’s 7 however is significantly more PP minutes. The Hawks are a slightly better team, so the relative numbers maybe rose a bit. We have a better coach, but arguably Levshunov was worse defensively and that was with a pro season under his belt already, not jumping in from a junior. I like Levshunov, I like his attitude and enthusiasm, but I question if he should start the year in the NHL or if he should (because he is waiver exempt) start the year in Rockford until injuries clear up a spot or he picks up his game at the pro level. With Byram coming in to be PP1 QB, they can take their time with Levshunov a bit more. I don’t know if Korchinski will carve out a role, but he will get claimed on waivers if they send him down, so maybe they give him a longer look with a bit more role now that he is 22 years old. (still so young)

ParticipantI just saw that Edmonton traded for a Crevier. Can’t be the same one, right?

ParticipantI was looking at some Duncan Keith stats and to be honest seeing his stats by the time he turned 24 is very comparable to Byram. Byram is actually better at scoring, it took Keith to the age of 25 to hit the 40 plus scoring threshold. If Byram does hit another level of scoring because he’ll run the PP1 and continue to get better in his own end, this will become a great trade by KD.

ParticipantI think that would be for the best Wiz.
Boy that Bedard contract looks so much better now that Celebrini signed that deal.
Nazar, Vlasic and Knight contracts look fantastic
That’s crazy how the Ducks, SJ are going to be cap crunched so quickly, that’s why i love all these high end draft picks in the system, this is going to be so valuable to the Blackhawks franchise, going forward.
We are finally at the final stretch run of the rebuild. As i said when he tore it down it’ll be here before we know it.

ParticipantThat would be great to have Taser but fior a game.
The idea is a roster with faster line-up and Johnny instantly makes Frondell or Frankie, or Roman -off to the wing.
