ParticipantNew York Rangers receive:
No. 2 overall pick in 2026 NHL Draft (from Sharks)
San Jose Sharks receive:
No. 5 overall pick (from NYR)
No. 26 overall pick (from NYR)
Braden Schneider, RFAThis trade would mean the Rags want Stenberg imo & SJ gets D depth they need & 2 more 1sts. Those 1sts could domino into other more win now trades.

Agree then Mancini is odd man out unless Hronek is traded. The F logjam needs a trade or 3.

ParticipantThey are not trading Hronek. As much as the fanbase is dreaming they need a leader like Hronek. There is no way in the world they bring in Gallagher and ship out Hronek.

ParticipantHronek is going nowhere agreed. Gallagher only if 1-2 F’s get moved or not at all. MP along with Debrusk are my choices to move out.

ParticipantGallagher would be a stupid trade or signing.
I don’t see the Sedins or RJ as blockbuster guys. Sign Reid take Lin at 24 and Shilov at 33. Your D would be set for years along with leadership. Keep both MPetey and Hronek for at least 3 years and the kids will flourish.
Raty will move up a line this year and Karlsson should improve. I do want to finish last again next year and draft the teams #1C
Don’t take away a young players spot and hand it to Gallagher. The young guys already taking the leadership to another level.

Shilov won’t be available at 33. Earlier in the year he was ranked in the low/mid 20’s but has risen a fair bit. He will be gone before 20 I imagine.

Without knowing the sweetener with Gallagher is the only question mark with 1 year left on a contract dump. It will take 1-2 other F’s traded to make sense to give youth opportunity for spots. Hronek needs to stay but not MP.
I’m cool with Reid but not overboard on D picking 2 in the 1st. Doubt Lin will be there anyways. 24 Hurlbert 33 Bleyl 41 Cali or Cover.
Raty only moves up if a healthy Chytil moved to the wing & Cootes sent to Abby. Chytil should replce a traded Debrusk. Sasson C4.

The bass in the building when a song comes on is enough to knock Chytil out for the season so not much of an issue….

ParticipantI don’t think it would be that much. They can buy him out and get 2.5 mil relief and they only need three mid level players to sign

ParticipantI don’t want him on the team. I am saying Habs can buy him out. I don’t want to have anything to do with Gallagher. Mtl is not giving up much to trade him they would rather just buy him out

ParticipantI have written Chytil off. I don’t give a Chyt about him any more. I expect he will ply 12 games this year.

6 to start the season then 6 in February. Even that is generous….

I think we’re close to him realizing that for his own personal future and quality of life, he needs to shut it down. If he does play I’m sure it’ll be on the wing, but we’ll see how this plays out. For as much as I wanted Miller gone, that was such a bad trade in the end.
