The CBC has been viewed as being VERY left leaning / supportive before Carney, Rosemary Barton and the others couldn’t stop themselves from lapping up everything Trudeau had to say and rebroadcasting it as if it was the word of god.
Which was CBC was viewed as leaning in the past is irrelevant now for the most part but the liberals have propped it up and given it more money than the Conservatives did – here is some CBC funding info from the last 3 years of Harper to today that you may (or may not) find interesting:

• 2014-15: Reduced by $45.4 million.
