Been a big busy week of some major trades. 3 top 10 picks moved ahead of the draft. SJ looks likely to take Stenberg then at 9oa whatever D is left for them. A good looking team on the rise. The Hawks paid a heavy price for Byram & no word yet if he’s resigning there. Is that risky or was there talks behind the scene? Hawks are looking to push to get outta the basement but a D wasn’t foreseen by most. Larkin situation is intriguing & who knows what Yzerman will do & when. Could he appease Larkin & take some big swings on trades to change Larkins mind? Wings rebuild has to end sooner than later. The Sens had a Hughes situation they moved Brady then recouped Eklund. Imo they must still be heavily active to make more trades to keep competitive in the toughest division. Same goes for the Sabres. They could afford to unload Byram who wasn’t going to be their top go to D. Losing Tuch is a big blow so they too should be heavily active in the trade market. What will the Blues do with 4-1sts? The Habs are in win now mode & surely going to take a big swing. With the draft looming maybe more fireworks are coming but more likely after the draft more big names on the move. As for the Canucks it’s been quiet with the biggest names having NMC’s. My gut says nothing changes til after the draft or closer to the TDL.
