I stay away from players in the Q. Also not interested in taking a goalie that high at this time. Think there will be better options for both the late 1st rd picks.

Can see them also doing what the did a year ago trading a 1st for 1st next year. Hopefully they wised up and will get another asset back as well; unlike last year.

At 6, I do wonder if they would bypass O’ Beien with that scenerio. He is more likely to stick at center after turning pro then Frondell.

McQueen’s my preferred pick at #6. He possibly has the highest upside in the entire draft, he’s huge and he plays down the middle.

He is definitely the biggest Hail Mary swing. I’ve seen many reports that he is totally healed. That the problem was misdiagnosed and it turned out to be bone related and that the bone is now completely healed.

I just think the Flyers are too gunshy after what happened with Patrick. His combo of size and skill is exactly what the Flyers need, do they have the guts to take that chance?

Has McQueen even been linked to the Flyers at all?

They didn’t roll the dice with MM as it was a no brainer pick.

MM had a great year and the team still sucked. Would have been better to keep him in Russia so his ELC don’t start. They will suck this year and next then pay day time.

They got no value out of the MM rookie contract.

If DB trades TK and Sanheim at the draft, gets #2 OA, re-ups York, stays away from vets in FA and trades Risto at the TDL, would that be a rebuild?

Living in fantasy land thinking they would trade franchise icon TK. Then trade Sanheim.

I really don’t agree with this. The only comparable people kept using was the Fedotov situation and that was because he tried to skip out on military service. Plenty of other Russian players were coming over all the time. He was never not coming over. Now if you want to say the three year wait was a factor then I can agree with that. But there was never any real doubt he would not be in the NHL within three years.

No hindsight needed. Can you give any examples of Russian top pick players who have not been able to come over to play in the NHL.
