The short preseason schedule has come to an end which means that the Montreal Canadiens new season is finally here! Now is the time to do something both fun and revealing. By the end of the season, it could give us plenty to brag about or to regret. We’re going to make predictions for the 2026-27 regular season.
We’re putting our calls on the record for the Canadiens, from individual players and team performance to some of the milestones that may happen over the course of the season. After that, we’re going beyond Montreal. Because if we’re going to do this, we might as well make some predictions about the rest of the NHL, too!
Some of the categories are pretty straightforward. Other predictions border of being on bold. They will require us to stick our necks out a little bit. Of course, the real fun will come when we look back at all of this in April and see which of our predictions actually held up.
So, before the first puck drops and the season starts making these decisions for us, let’s put ourselves on the record and make our calls for new campaign. Remember to play along with us, then put your answers somewhere safe to pull them out at the end of the year!
