Canadiens Connection: Meet a Challenge

Losing a team captain is never ideal, but losing Nick Suzuki for the next two to four weeks presents a particularly tough challenge for the Montreal Canadiens. Suzuki’s ironman streak of more than 500 consecutive games has come to an end, and Montreal now has to figure out how to navigate a stretch of the season without one of its most important players.

The good news is that this is also an opportunity for the Canadiens to show what they’re made of. Other players will have to take on bigger roles, the coaching staff will need to make some adjustments, and the team will have to find ways to win without relying on Suzuki to shoulder so much of the load.

Could this be considered an opportunity to focus on outstanding issues? Needless to say that there are areas of Montreal’s game that need to improve significantly regardless of who’s in the lineup.

This Week’s Show

On this week’s episode of the Canadiens Connection podcast, we’re looking at five ways the Canadiens can rise to this challenge, make the most of the players they have available, and get through this stretch without letting one injury derail their progress.
