Canadiens Connection: What the Habs Are Signaling Before Camp

We’re about one month away from the Montreal Canadiens 49th annual Golf Tournament at Club de Golf Laval-sur-le-Lac. Every year, players, coaches, management, alumni gather to raise money for the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation. The tournament is also seen as the unofficial start to training camp which typically gets underway a day or two later.

With camp just a few weeks away and more players joining the on-ice sessions at Brossard every day, what have we learned about the Canadiens roster makeup as hockey’s offseason winds down? Of course there will be competitive battles in camp, there may be injuries to account for, and it remains to be seen if all rehabbing players will be ready to start the season.

We last looked at a projected lineup for the Montreal Canadiens just over a month ago. What has changed in that time? We’ll look at quotes from Habs players, coaches and management to make adjustments to our roster projection in this week’s episode of the Canadiens Connections podcast.

  • Projecting the league’s top-30 players in 2030: why no Canadiens?
