The 2025 Prospect Games between the Dallas Stars and Detroit Red Wings take place on September 13-14 at Comerica Center in Frisco. Earlier this week, the Stars announced their participating roster. According to the Stars’ official website, both games will be broadcast on Victory+. Additionally, the games will stream on DallasStars.com.
Stars 2024 first-round pick Emil Hemming, who played last year with the OHL’s Barrie Colts, will take part in the Prospect Games. Likewise, pint-sized but offensively talented 2025 third-round selection Cameron Schmidt, 2023 second-round selection Tristan Bertucci. German goalie prospect Arno Tiefensee, and towering Finnish defenseman Niilopekka Muhonen will play in the two-game set. Feisty 2025 draftee Dawson Sharkey (6th round, 190th overall) is also on hand.
2022 first-round pick Lian Bichsell is not among the particpants. He played in 38 NHL regular season games and 18 Stanley Cup playoff matches as a rookie last season. Meanwhile, former Northeastern University center Justin Hryckowian is not part of the Prospect Games. The 24-year-old appeared in five NHL games with Dallas last season as well as 67 AHL games (22 goals, 60 points) with the Texas Stars in 2024-25.
