I would love to pull it off…. much better than the idea floating around to trade the #3 and Debrusk for the #2 to insure they get Stenberg. That’s a terrible idea. First off, there is a really good chance SJ takes a D which means you have a great chance at getting Stenberg anyways without giving up Debrusk anyways.
I’d take my chance at landing one of the top 2 ranked prospects at 3 and trading Debrusk for picks in this and next years draft.
Trading Hronek and getting the 4rth would be great. Stenberg and Malholtra… or if things went whacky, Mckenna and Malholtra…. They could also trade Hronek at the TDL for a 1st in next years draft(Hronek + if need be)… if no lottery protection, this could work out to be a franchise changing trade.
