I could understand both signings. I was contemplating Ian Cole, because it seems like everytime he gets signed I think “Cole?? man that’s a nothing signing.” Yet everytime I see him play, he seems the same—not spectacular but not bad either. What is he like 50 years old now? Anyway I can see both Cole and Smith as bottom role players for the Hawks, but I just didn’t see the need for Smith having a multi-year contract. Smith did play well in the finals for LV.
