And came in with more resume than Kyle and the team never reached expectations.

I was watching a video about Bowen Byram and I’m guessing he’s going to be paired with Vlasic a lot. The worst statistic that Byram has is puck retrieval in his own zone, but guess who has one of the best in the league, yes that would be Vlasic.

One of the things that confuses me, i think i read in Ellis scouting report, Nick Lardis poor skating????, i think many of them are getting older and confused. Lardis is an exceptional skater and he’s strong for his size i remember him fore checking and he hammered someone and it was fricking impressive,

Nice thing about drafting kids with a good work ethic, the only thing that will keep them from being NHL players is their talent level. Boisvert putting on 15lbs of muscle. I remember Frondell being criticized for his endurance and he ended scoring the best on the endurance test at the combine.

So if you draft kids with a good work ethic that means to me as these kids gain more experience and feel like they belong like Greene and Moore the team defense will only get better and better because it will be like watching a team of Brandon Hagels.

Hopefully the addition of Byram will change the way the Hawks break out of their zone. Byram, Lev, Rinzel, Kaiser, Korchinski and even Vlasic have shown the ability to skate with the puck out of their zone. By doing so if they beat the first fore-checker they change the dynamics of their puck possession by making it easier to get past the red line. No more D to D passes then hoist the puck up for grabs. That’s like punting on second down.

And i know they all won’t make it or be NHL players but the longer developing players are beginning to filter into Rockford, Spellacy, Boisvert, Vanacker, Felcman is getting good reviews. Lardis and Moore made their way up and Tkachuk had nothing but great things to say about playing on the same line as him….

Haru i think the issue is they want the brinks truck to trade for any young top 6 forward, and i don’t blame KD for not making a move like that, i guess Jarmo was trying to flip our 4th OA for a young forward and he found out it wasn’t enough.

I just hope Byram takes off and becomes a 60ish point dman who can play in all situations. If he does this then he was worth the trade and contract.

All I know is every guy on the roster who is a Kyle high draft, the throw ins still around from past trades, and any onebody on the farm or in camp on play yourself unto the roster players, they better come prepared to play better than last year.

    Re: Commesso

He certainly is a different style gaolie than our starter of back-up.

I think the young defenders are going to be asked to adjust to radically different style, as he is so economic and compact in his stance that he looks even smaller tahn 6’2″. And he is REALLY a excellent homeplate style goalie, and I am not sure if he has the birdseye to track the numereous high speed shots he is going to have to locate and position for, but we’ll see.

I REALLY want Solder to continue improving. Ther is a lot to like in his size and demeanor.

It seems to me that the last post of my own I see is the one on May 3 2026, where I linked MY OWN property, my mock draft.

So, you all see this the one from this morning and the last days, right?

It seems weird that if I was somehow banned, that the ban was on ME seeing my own posts but can see this post and the ones I have been unable to see? ?

I think the theme is “Bedard needs a PROVEN winger…” Unfortunately as KD has stated great players are hard to come by, especially young ones. My thoughts for that were Knies, Robertson, Pettersson and maybe Kent Johnson, but maybe Davidson doesn’t share my liking for the latter two. So if that’s the case, I can see the Hawks once again, patiently waiting to see what they have in Frondell, Kantserov and Lardis and go from there, which is alright by me, cause I’m going to watch them anyways no matter what.

I always laugh when analysts minimize a team trading away someone whos talented and say they didn’t really need them.

Hockey is the ultimate team sport and you go to the playoffs and win a Stanley Cup by having the accumulation of the most talent on your roster.

I still remember the days of fans going on and on of not having a 2nd line center and now that’s turning into we need a scoring winger on Bedard line.
