Im all for trying Demidov at C at camp

sure why not. sign Giroux to take faceoffs and play wing like he was doing on OTT.

I think that might work, but dont you hate it cause Giroux is a small player?

Maybe they could add a bigger player with them. Or just use a guy like Anderson with them, maybe?

    Maybe Dach on the wing?

So I was just thinking about 2C and how trading for one is looking difficult, but what if we signed Mikael Granlund and traded for Peterka. I asked ChatGPT about the line and it seems to think Demidov would be a good C. I believe elite prospects has come to the same conclusion from watching his play.

JJ Peterka brings finishing ability, speed, and puck skills that mesh well with Granlund’s playmaking IQ and Demidov’s controlled two-way center play.
Together, they could form a well-rounded, high-danger line effective in both primary scoring and defensive stability.

Just a thought…..weed and boredom lead to deep thoughts lol

I honestly think Granlund is the option they are looking at, he has been my low cost “fill in” ’til they can get something better down the line guy. This seems low risk to me, for 2-3 years, and he can move down to the 3rd line later.

And I do think it makes sense they look for an upgrade on the wing for that second line, leaving Newhook and Dach to fight out for playing time on the 3rd line.

But I have a feeling we will end up with a second line addition (either a winger or a center) and a veteran RHD instead.

Thats alot of quote, wonder if reply works different…
leaves a 3rd/4th line with Newhook, Dach, Laine, Heinny, Gally Andy, Owens, etc.
    Lots of bodies
