Bill, I don’t really write much in here, but I wanted to let you know I appreciate being able to read your daily piece. I don’t have a lot of time to catch up on things, but missed my daily break from life & work to get a quick Flyers fix.
Thank You for what you do!

will they make the playoffs within the next 4 years? good chance they dont.

    Bill:

    1. flyers still “high” on hunter Mac?

    2. what’s the % they use a 1st on a goalie?

    3. Do you see them having serious interest on Roberson?

    4. Why did Makieni (sp) go back to Europe? His or the flyers decision?

    5. Whats the Possibility they trade the oilers 1st for a 1st next season again?

They still think McDonald can be a top 6.

If they use all three first round picks, I could see them taking Ravensbergen (especially at 31/32).

Makiniemi is a UFA and has had a couple major injuries. Hopes to get back on track in Finland.

With Robertson, I was told they can’t afford the trade price plus the extension if they want to pursue a No. 1 center within the next year.

NHL teams are putting player(s) names out there for trade. I think things will get interesting for Flyers, and I could see a trade or RFA bid. I’ve mentioned Miller (D) at NYR or Byrum (D) at Buf; these are just a couple of possibilities. You think about the rights to Howard from TB, to STL goalie on possible RFA. I think if the Flyers get there pick at 6 right, depending upon teams before them (Frondell, Hagens, Martone, Desnoyers and McQueen in that order), there are so many things that could materialize after that. You couple that with D men in LHV (Grans, McDonald, and Sother), and possibly trading York, Andre and Risto, and we have a new team that will be capable of fighting for the playoffs next year. As a flyer fan of over 58 years, this is the most i’ve been excite about the future for the last 10 years. Go Flyers, and Danny and team please get it right!

Anyone thinking they can fight for a playoff spot next season needs their head examined.

Sother wasn’t even signed or doesn’t appear to be in the plans.

People need to stop with the trading Risto stuff. They have zero interest in moving him. Can see a short term ext next July for few more years ma
