The Chicago Blackhawks aren’t just sneaking wins — they’re earning them. Special teams are delivering, and the kids on defense look calm beyond their years.

All of the above is true Frenchy, and I don’t think you even mentioned Nazar. Let’s hope that injury heals in a hurry and he returns to form soon. He’s been held scoreless the last several games. If Franky gets going there’s one more weapon on the team for opponents to worry about.

You’re right. I had Nazar listed in the extra reasons section, but it looks like it got deleted. My apologies… and great catch by you. Thanks for your comment

Excellent piece Coach. There’s a lot going right for the Hawks as of now, and you’ve pretty much summed it all up. That was a big article by the way; appreciate the time and effort that you put in here.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it. It means a lot to hear that. I put a good amount of time into this one, and I’m glad the breakdown worked for you. The Hawks are giving us plenty to talk about right now, and it’s fun to cover when things go this way. Thanks again for taking the time to read it and share your thoughts

It’s also nice to see a team that wants to attack the puck. Win 50 50 puck battles play in the hard areas, block shots.

Vs the Flames they made them look old and slow, McLellan said after the Wings loss we need to be harder to play against, we need to go to the dirty areas and win 50 50 battles

As much as i wanted Kurashev and Reichel to be better it’s nice that we pretty much got rid of our last 2 floaters on this team.

It’s so hard to motivate someone when they don’t have it within themselves. I appreciate this scouting department realizing that is an important trait in a young hockey player.

When I talk about identity, this is exactly what I mean. This is where Blashill gets it right. He knows what kind of team he has and he leans into their strengths. Speed, effort, and pressure on the puck. Win your battles, go to the hard areas, and make the other team uncomfortable. That’s the foundation of what the Blackhawks are building right now.

Nice write up coach, the kids are alright. Hoping for Green and Levshunov to pot one this week, Love Greene’s game, he does everything right except score at this time.

Levshunov improves every game, his confidence is growing. I would not be surprised if he puts up at least 45 points this year. He still makes a mistake here and there, however the good overcomes those mistakes, can’t wait to see his game in a few months.

Well said. This is exactly what a rebuild is about — developing your young players in the trenches. I said it at the beginning of the season: this year in Chicago is all about development and evaluation inside the organization. Their next step is moving out some veterans and getting ready for Phase 1 of their roster construction in the summer of 2026. The kids are taking real steps, and that’s what matters right now

Nice write up, Frenchy. I am not alone in hoping the Hawks start to improve their shot suppression numbers. I think that is the next step in their understanding of Blash’s system.

Hey Coach! Nice read as usual.

When Arty was drafted everyone said he had all the physical tools to be a great D man,but they weren’t sure if he had what it takes between the ears.
I was listening to Blashill on spittin chiclets, and Blashill was on,mentioning Arty is farmer strength strong. And I read somewhere else where Blashill mentioned his hockey instincts are really good. Is this a coach just propping up his player,or do you see Arty slowly applying his IQ/instincts and getting better?
