“No, he’s not a power play regular or a 40-plus point player like he was in Buffalo. He won’t rank first or second in credited hits anymore among NHL defensemen. “

He’s being asked to do less. What he was traded to be, what he was extended to be, what the Flyers wanted him to be, that player doesn’t exist. The Flyers trying to salvage something from a player they overpaid for in both draft picks and 5 year contract is what this is. It’s not like they could bury him in the minors with that contract so at least they’ve extracted some value from him when he’s not in the hot tub.

What’s sad is that his best year in 4 years with the Flyers would still rank as his worst year with the Sabres.

Why they refused to move RR when they had the chance just show more incompetence. RR is a solid bottom pair defenseman. Hopefully, they re-sign him to a 2 year ext as briere says would be a big hole if they move him. Beyond laughable. I get the GM speak though when it comes to the flyers don’t think that is the case.

As for Noah2 he is what he is a 6/7. Though he will get the benefit of the doubt because of the coach. Grans should be in that spot or someone else who may actually have a future with this team.
