ParticipantAn oddly big game early. Islanders turned things around nicely, winning everything since their 0-3 start. They’re scoring more and giving up more than the Flyers. Minnesota and Ottawa decided to suddenly D up in their games against the Flyers after struggling defensively. Flyers have been up and down in their scoring and end game results. The total team defense turnaround has been a lot more consistent and remarkable. After 7 games last year, Flyers had given up 31. This year it’s only 18. The intermittent scoring is curious. They need to start popping more than one or two a game.

ParticipantSo I guess the plan is now for Luchanko to be scratched enough games consecutively to qualify for a conditioning assignment in the AHL. Would really like to see Foerster with either Michkov and/or Zegras some time this year. I think we are going to find out Foerster’s success is not necessarily being tied to just having Cates and Brink with him.

I think it’s more a case of Cates’ and Brink’s success being tied to Foerster. The kid is really good both ways, has good size and I don’t think there’s a Flyer with better hands.

ParticipantEarly game today against an Islander team that’s won four in a row. Should be a good test for the boys. GO FLYERS GO!!!

ParticipantRemind me why Jett is on the team? To help him develop offensively? Too good for the OHL? Lol
I can’t believe i’m saying this as Torts loves his vets also but Jett played significantly more under Torts last year than Tocchet this year.
If anyone actually believed the crap they were spewing Jett would be centering a scoring line instead of eating popcorn and watching the game like the rest of us. Maybe DB is up there with him just like he was with Torts?
The only reason he is on the Flyers is for PR reasons, not for hockey reasons.
