ParticipantThe Philadelphia Flyers (15-9-3) made a strong push in the third period against the best team in the NHL, but in the end, it just wasn’t enough.

Participant– No reason not to play vladar.
– No reason to have the season pointless 4th line getting a shift with under 5 left when trailing. Or anytime really.
– No reason once again to have your “franchise” player getting the least amount of minutes of top 9 players.
– No reason to come out slow with 3 shots in the 1st. Avs playing 3rd game in 4 nights, prior one went to OT.

ParticipantFlyers had their chances, but couldn’t get that 3rd goal. Andrae had some slick moves on the ice and looked good. Ersson looks great at times, especially in shootouts, but it seems he doesn’t wake up until he gives up a questionable goal to start the games. I definitely have more faith in Vladar at this time.

Andrae has been a bright spot. He’s a +7 in 17 games. Zegras has a better faceoff win percentage than Cates now. TZ has been taking draws on PPs and been doing well in limited use. The Flyers left a point on the table yesterday for the first time in almost four weeks (EDM). On December 8, only three teams in the conference have a better win pct than the Flyers. Only two EC teams, WSH and TB, have better records over their last 10 games.
