For the first time in a long time, this seems like a reasonable extension by the Flyers.

If Foester progresses as expected, he can get paid in another year or two. If he doesn’t, the Flyers are only on the hook for two years.

With that said, there’s still a few bad contracts (in terms of length) that will ultimately hurt this team if and when they finally begin to put it all together.

Concur with the Board, good deal for both the player and team! If Foerster improves, yes it will cost more but it will be worth it. Looking for another increase in goal scoring to 30 this year.
