ParticipantI dont get the feeling better because the leafs took the panthers to 7 games, it didnt feel like a close series, Leafs got crushed a lot of the time (like every other team the panthers played).
10 years is enough to see major issues and big changes needed.Tavares scored 2 goals in the series just as much as Mitch and Matthews combined. but really who gives a shit.

ParticipantMcDavid only 1 (meaningless) goal in the series. At least the 1 goal that Marner and Matthews scored were GWGs.
And the Leafs took them to Game 7.
But definitely blow up the team.
That’s gonna work wonders.

ParticipantThe Division of Death, the Atlantic, is the toughest division in hockey. Even the bottom-feeder teams are tough outs. 5 teams got in and all 5 played hard. It’s why it’s so hard to get to the finals, if you’re in the Atlantic. Leafs still have an opportunity to get there, but only about 2 years to achieve it. Montreal, Ottawa, Detroit and even Buffalo are improved and could get in next year. Tampa, Toronto and Florida are still the class, but not for long. Time to get the draft and free agency dealt with and see where the Leafs are positioned at the end of the 25-26 season.
What the leafs do in the next couple of years will be interesting… after that it’s going to truly influence Matthews wanting to resign in Toronto or not, especially after Marner truly setting the “all-star walking as a free agent” acceptance this year.

Appears so. Maybe it’s time to head back to Halleybury and retire. He’s got his silverware and a great career. It’s just time.
