That means 1 – 6 next game in Carolina or something like this.
Florida always coming strong after such games like tonight.

You’d be surprised, Carolina is a lunch pail team. Florida lost 3 straight games to Edmonton last year too, so they aren’t perfect either. I don’t think they’ll blow the series but Carolina won’t quit. I could see them winning one more.

Andersen with the shutout facing elimination.

i read a spot on audition blog on the hb that i agree with very much????

after seeing our laffs have the opposition’s will imposed upon them when the rubber has met the road over the last 58 years, i had never taken into consideration that they were actually lacking skilled skaters this whole time????????‍♂️

if they just had faster, more skilled skaters, they could just outrun and dangle these old timers into the ice like the globetrotters do to the generals????‍♂️ – Neckmaster General Skalapy

I went read it. It’s not wrong. It’s actually a decent blog. I just can’t imagine any serious sports-writer wanting to be associated with that place. The forums are full of the worst political troll wars and the entire site is a 1990’s throwback that is impossible to use without an adblocker. Any halfway decent blogger with hopes of being a professional writer would be best served to stay at least 100 nautical miles away from HB (unfortunately).

    ????????????
How Leafs supposed to improve without draft picks for trades?
    To improve from within?
Letting Marner walk is bad, but keeping him for $14+ M is not great either.
I have no idea what magic the management has to pull out to improve this team.

I disagree. It’s a challenge but not any more difficult than deals we’ve seen in the past. Just need to get everybody on the same page and be creative. Let’s all remember, Karlsson got traded at a cap hit over 11 million. There’s always a buyer if the price is right.

    yep????

with all that dough he must have a good coke dealer that would make him pretty valuable to the canuckleheads lmfaoooo ????????????

Marner is walking out the door with no return on the asset.

Not 100% that he’s leaving. That just seems to be the story for idiot fans with bloodlust and the media painting him as the bad guy to cover MLSE’s ass.

Leafs are in a tough spot to try to get better. Not a great pool of free agents and few assets to deal.

If they can reach a deal with Marner, the UFA pool can work in their benefit so long as they purge the roster of the passengers.

And if you let Tavares walk….who is playing center on this team??

It almost doesn’t matter because as long as whomever replaces Tavares isn’t a defensive blackhole, the Leafs will be better off without him.

Apparently Shanahan nixed the below deal of dubas’.

    To Toronto:
    Brandon Hagel
    Marc-André Fleury (extended)

    To Chicago:
    Matthew Knies (rights)
    Petr Mrázek
    2022 Toronto 1st (top 10 protected) (Rinzel)
2023 Toronto 1st (top 10 protected) (Cowan. Nadeau?
