ParticipantThank god JT Miller is back to take the lead and show these kids how to properly tank the season.

ParticipantI love it, since the return from the Olympic break… the Rangers are 1-5, 0-3 in the last 3, with JT Miller playing. 5-1 when he was out of the lineup. Attaboy Miller, teach this kids how to tank properly.

Remember how some thought getting Miller was going to save the season last year and they would make a playoff run?? Man, those are some stupid people. Talk about having the opposite effect. Im definitely not impress with his as Captain. After a loss he looks irritated answering questions. Now we know why Vancouver moved him.

ParticipantTo those who said the season would be different if Fox and Igor didnt get hurt, I think you are wrong about that. There is something wrong in that locker room. I know this team isnt this bad, something is broken elsewhere.

…and to think we could have drafted Nesbitt, Bear, Aitcheson (who I reallllllly wanted), Carbonneau
Probably could have got a future for Chytil.
But no…

Does it matter as long as they keep losing?

Well yes, how many coaches and yet this team is still bad, Milbury traded half the team yet the same under lying metrics are still there. What is the dysfunction? Im going to assume its now on Laffy, Fox and Mika because they are the only players left from this purge. Cant blame Igor.

ParticipantThis team has a sub-500 record since Miller returned to the Rangers. This team only got progressively worse after trading Goodrow, Kreider, Trouba and bringing in Miller. So I guess youre right, the issue isnt Miller… its Zib, Fox, LAF and Trocheck. Its their fault they havent adapted to Miller’s presence and leadership.

This team was first in the league 2 years ago, go figure. Milbury just had to think he was the smartest guy in the room. A retool then would have been different, no lets just burn it down. After hearing Fox’s comments a few weeks ago, I cant see him staying for the ride. If he splits, does Mika and Miller go too? Im not sure how this dumpster fire will play out.

Its hard to understand it. It feels like it was nuked from deep within the organization and anyone not believing in the plan was nixed.

Hold on, we still have like a dozen more games to lose to hopefully lock up a top 2 pick.
But Ill be honest, Im not against trading any pick, even a top 2 pick, if the return is significant.

ParticipantYou don’t trade a top 5 pick in this years draft

1 and 2, probably not. After that, I think for the right offer picks can be moved. But Im also not saying full on trade them, I mean move back a couple picks. I really like the idea of drafting Malhotra or Lawrence. We have an extremely aging core of centers and nothing in the pipeline to develop behind them. If we were to end up with the 3rd pick, theres a couple of teams that have multiple picks in the 1st round. Lets say the Bruins are sitting at 5/6 (theres several teams with multiple picks in the 1st round), want to move up to draft Verhoeff, and want to trade pick #5/6 plus pick #24 and Lohrei, for example, its something to consider. Id be asking a kings ransom for a franchise RHD.
We can monetize a high pick quite massively. Especially in this draft.
