    Wow.
Marner does nothing in a big game. No surprise.
The leafs dont show up in a big game. No surprise.

Three things can be true, Marner is a soft reg season points getter who disappears when it counts and the leafs still have a team of no shows led by Captain rarely lays in on the line and management has been horrible with allocating cap.

I see the little insecure boy is still on here spewing his maga empty headed nonsense.
Dummy: “the leafs need marner to win”
Us: We had marner for 9 years didnt win anything and he disappeared in games 5 – 7, every series. When it counted and got tough.
Dummy: “thats everyone else’s fault, you retard”

    What a low life moron.

Marner would have costed the leafs $14m to stay – but he didnt want to…HE DIDNT WANT TO.
    So far he has 52pts
Roy, Maccelli, and Joshua cost about $9.2m and have 48pts together and the leafs still have $5m available. So toss in JT and his 44pts at $4.3m
So for $13.5m the leafs have 92pts from 5 players or they could have had 52pts from one player.

Now not saying all the above are the best way to spend $9.2m but its not the worse.
Had the leafs been healthier this season they would be in a playoff spot.

Leafs “fans” in the building are going to embarrass themselves tonight. I don’t blame Marner for getting out of town. Those fans should direct their ire at management.

Yes Marner bled every last dime he could from the Leafs, but they gave him that contract.

    Nope.
Boo the crap out of him….and they did.
    nice.

Watching the Bruins and Habs and I must say, the youth and exuberance was entertaining to watch. It reminded me about the 2nd season of Matthews, Marner and company. At that point, the sky was the limit. The only issue was in goal. Fast forward 7 years and the rolls are reversed. Very little youth, very little exuberance, but the goaltending is very good. It seems like the Leafs are always out of balance. Once costent was neither part of the last 9 year was having a stud defenseman that could play 30 minutes a game and quarterback the powerplay. A whole decade wasted, due to mismanagement. The talent hid a lot of the warts, but the results tell the real story. I truly want the Leafs to win, but this group isn’t going to be the one to take them to the promised land. Right now, watching a full Leafs game is a waste of 3 hours and you might as well enjoy a good movie, then waste your time thinking this team will entertain you. Although I mostly disagree with much of what UG says, he’s right this time. It’s time to gut this seal and rework the roster. Maybe it is time to move Matthews, if a team with the assets is willing to give us a premium. Tank the rest of the way and see if we can get to the top 5 of the draft. Better to do it now, than stay in the bottom 10 and give up a high 1st rounder. It’s going to hurt, but it’s the only way to rebound quickly.

    Man, no Leafs game tonight.
I hope they don’t show the Habs game in the Leafs region.
I’d rather watch Ottawa then the Habs. 🤮

Brilliant move to start Stolarz last night, Bérubé. He moved like a 56 year old men’s leaguer.

The asked Berube about that after the game and he said it wasn’t his call. Which means Tre made the call, which means Tre is potentially working on a trade. If a team is looking at Stollarz, they at least want to see he can play a full game. Who knows what Tre is cooking.

    interesting
I wonder which team(s) is looking at him

Woll was pulled in the game in Vegas last week wasn’t he? Yeah, Stolarz could of played a game or two for the Marlies to shake some of that rust of.
Got to start Stolarz back up at some point.
