He wanted to hold the team up for ransom. He isn’t worth anything near Matthews. What awards has Marner won, compared to Matthews? Matthews had multiple 100 point seasons, plus multiple Rockets, and a Hart Trophy. Marner…..nothing! He’s just a teeny, tiny mercenary that’s not worth more than $10M per season. Good riddance to the soap opera and it’s time to seal this thing up and win the East and play for a Cup.
