Obviously for the best. Hopefully he can work on his offensive game down there.
He obviously wasn’t working on it in the NHL being benched or playing on the 4th line. Shame on the Flyers for that.
The article makes it sound like the Flyers are helpless bystanders in all of this. It was DB’s decision to sign him to a professional contract immediately which is why he can’t play in college and if he’s not good enough to play in the NHL, the rest doesn’t matter.
Poor decision making all around. He knew the rules when he drafted Jett, he knew the rules when he signed Jett. If you want to lament that Jett can’t play in the AHL, then shame on DB for knowingly drafting a player ineligible to play in the AHL for his first 2 years.
It was his decision to let this kid embarrass himself on the ice last year and to basically waste a month of the kid’s time again this year. If he doesn’t like his choices he should’ve drafted someone else.
