And I get what you’re saying about Marner but there is still two things about him that didn’t fit with what the Tre/Berube wanted to do:
A: great defensively yes but not Berube’s physical style of D so no, he wouldn’t fit (a coaching error imo, just saying)
B: he wouldn’t fit this have cost $15 million to stay in Ontario to get his $7.5 mill take home. Why? Because he isn’t the only one making this choice, his wife, his dad, and other members of his family have a say in this as well, not just the hockey player. So anyone believing he’s offer a discount is a dreamer (sorry had to say that since there are a few here, not you, who want to believe that only Mitch makes the call here)Personally I only think that unless there’s something as dramatic as a coaching change to change the approach and get this team to get better this season won’t likely turn out that well, if a goalie catches absolute fire it might turn out different but the team just looks… lost.[/quote]
